Hi this is mike & the truth again,it seems to me that some people here & elsewhere want to extend the meaning of the word art so far that it no longer means anything at all! We all know that I could decant the contents of my toilet onto a plinth in a art gellery & call it art ! Plenty of people well versed in the philosophy of modern art would spring to my defence & even praise it.(as long as I had an idea behind it apperently.)
Art has been hyjacked by a pseudo intelligencia proclaiming they are cultured enough to understand it & anybody who doesn’t “see it” is a fool &lacking in refinement of aesthetic & learning.
HA! Shout it out loud,the emperor is wearing no clothes! By the way Su , I have been a proffesional artist for 34 years & rejected going to art school because they no longer taught art,even that long ago.
