Coheed & Cambria’s highly anticipated new (and last) album in the epic saga is almost here, and they have just dropped the video for “The Broken”, taken from the new album “Year of The Black Rainbow”…

This is the first time the band don’t feature in a music video (I never liked when bands were in their music videos anyway)… Instead they have opted to throw us smack bang in the middle of  The Amory Wars, which is a series of comic books written by Coheed & Cambria frontman Claudio Sanchez and published by Evil Ink Comics. The storyline used in The Amory Wars is also the focus of the band’s music, each album released by the band representing a corresponding chapter in the four part science fiction concept originally narrated by Sanchez’s lyrics; “Year of The Black Rainbow” being the last chapter, a prequel and also the last album the band will release (for The Amory Wars story?).

The new album, which releases on April 13th is sounding massive from the couple of songs the band have already released, and I cannot freaking wait to hear the rest of it.
